right now I’m not sure where I should stick this, or if it should even have it’s own dedicated blog. But in any case I wanted to have somewhere to talk about the lovely little city where I live and all of the things that are happening here. I plan to add photos of how construction efforts are going on the new town square and of the thriving businesses that are around the area. I also wanted to talk about the arts, future development and my take on some of the politics around here. If anything else, this is a place I can record, for my own sake, all the great things happening here in Burien.
Just to give you an idea of my place in the world…. I am currently serving on the Arts Commission (since oct. of 2005), I was raised here and have lived here for about 30 years (spent a few in Puyallup and Federal Way) and I am also on the Community Center Advisory Planning Board (in reality I can’t remember the real name for it). I have been well connected to this community for a long time and have seen a lot of changes here.
