I love Art. I really really do. I’ve been accused of jumping from project to project and between mediums too much (by my wife among others). But I do love to try different things and I am genuinely interested in all forms of art and the artists that produce them.
I live in Des Moines Washington just south of Seattle and another great little up-and-coming art community, Burien. I graduated from the Art Institute of Seattle with a degree in Computer Animation Arts and Design only to discover that my real passion was in more traditional illustration and fine arts. Sitting at a table pushing pixels for hours is hard for me to do, I need to move.
I also spent a number of years in the local music industry behind the drums playing for a few local bands. Somedays it is a toss up on whether I would rather be playing on stage in front of an audience or hunched over my drafting table drawing cute little bunnies. But in either form I find expressing myself to be very cathartic and really the only thing I feel comfortable doing.
Since school (and the end of a rock god career) I have done freelance design and illustration and have been involved with a small game company, Ascension Games. I do volunteer work, have three kids and work a full time “real job”. I am continuing to pursue my art career and to finish a couple of the projects that I have started recently.
